Google engineer and award winner to the First Annual “Science of Security Competition” (SoS) conducted by the NSA, Joseph Bonneau, says that even though he accepted the award, he would prefer to see the NSA abolished. Joseph Bonneau’s research centered on the use and strength of passwords.
Bonneau said that he does not know who elected his research to the contest, and did not know that a contest existed. The NSA found his research on their own… yea they did.
More importantly… this reveals that NSA have an interest in spying on scientists, professors, researchers [activists]… for whatever purpose, it doesn’t matter what or who. Wonder if the NSA cares about bloggers, I betcha they do!
